For oversea visitors

First take a ship to Hamburg. Than take a train to Tatranska Strba/Strba than switch to a cog railway to Strbske Pleso. From there walk to the snow park near the ski jumps. High speed chair-lift will take you to the elevation of 1840 m. a.s.l. where Chalet Solisko is located in 7 minutes.

For real „bon vivants“ ;-)

Start your trip at the most eastern hill of our Slovak Republic called Kremenec. Keep going west and try to hold on white-red rocks (that’s our state border) Next orientation point is „Dukelsky priesmyk“ If you’ll succesfully pass through, keep going to the next border checkpoint Lysa Polana. From there it’s just a step to Javorina & Javorova valley. Through Zadne Medodoly you’ll hike up to Kopske sedlo. Make a sharp right turn and go over Jahnaci peak straight to the main High Tatras edge. Somewhere near Cubriny leave the edge, turn left to Koprovsky peak. Don’t miss Hlinska tower, Strbsky peak, Hruby vrch and Bystre sedlo and you’ll get to Velke Solisko. You are almost at the end of your trip. Only few more steps over the last 3 hills and at the Chalet Solisko there will be a hot tea waiting for you.
